What is PiPcall?

PiP stands for “Phone In a Phone”. PiPcall allows businesses to give their employees a paid business mobile phone service with its own number, using the PiPcall app on the employee’s own smartphone. The service uses full-quality mobile voice channels to deliver a high-quality connection.

Employees’ benefit from having all business calls, contacts and messages separated from their private information and data; no need to carry two handsets and no need to expense their business phone activity.

Employers’ save money benefit by not having to buy employees a landline or mobile phone for  business, while increasing visibility of employee business activity and paying only a small monthly fee for the service.

Who is PiPcall?

PiPcall is a London based start-up that launched in 2018. PiPcall has been in development since 2016. Our experience in solving core telecommunications pain points of businesses can be traced back even further to our sister company Teliqo.

Teliqo is a unique direct hosted telecoms provider – offering a highly adaptable and infinitely customisable telephony service, based on its own in-house developed technology and delivered directly to its customers. Teliqo has been serving customers and developing cloud-based business communications solutions for over 14 years.

How does PiPcall work?

All the calls made and received by our app are done so via the mobile voice network unlike other apps that use data. Calls are GSM carrier grade delivering far superior call quality, reliability and coverage than to that VoIP services.

How do I managed all of the PiPcall user is in my business?

The newly launched portal gives an administrator the ability to manage all PiPcall users within the business, including inviting new users and removing existing ones. The portal is created automatically when the administrator signs up to PiPcall.

How much do calls cost?

PiPcall comes with its own call bundle as standard. Our pricing plans range from £8 per month per user and includes unlimited UK mobile & landline calls.* See Pricing. This mean when your staff are using PiPcall as their dedicated business mobile phone, they do not use personal minutes.

Does PiPcall use personal call plans?

Our patented technology ensures we never use your personal mobile minutes. PiPcall comes with its own plan that includes a generous call allowance bundle as standard. This mean when your staff are using PiPcall as their dedicated business mobile phone, they do not use personal minutes.

Does PiPcall use personal data?

Yes, it uses a small amount to connect the call. The call itself uses no data as PiPcall calls are made over the mobile voice network. The data used to connect a call is equivalent to one SMS message or 2 bytes of data. 

What about international calls?

You can make and receive International calls through the PiPcall app. The international bundle is £3 per month for 100 international call minutes, providing generous call allowances to selected countries.

What countries are included in the international bundle?

We allow calls to Europe, North America and Asia.

What choice of PiPcall numbers do I have?
You can choose between:
  • A mobile number
  • Regional landline numbers
Can I use an existing business number?
Yes there are two options:
  1. Forward an existing mobile or landline number to PiPcall. Read how here. Please check with your existing service provider for the cost of forwarding calls
  2. When you sign up we will port your existing mobile or landline number to the app.
Will my personal mobile number change?
Your personal mobile number remains the same, however your mobile will be enabled with the PiPcall number via the app. Your personal number and PiPcall will sit on one mobile.
When I call somebody from the PiPcall app what number will they be presented with?
Your new PiPcall number will be presented to everybody you choose to dial from the app.
