For some businesses, this adaptation was completely unprecedented and came with many changes, not least how they managed communications with their clients.

However, without any time to plan, many businesses struggled to effectively keep in touch with their clients and employees as their employees began working from home, but their business phones remained stationed in the office.

Unsworth Sugden, a marketing agency with over 40 years’ experience offering creative, advertising, PR, design, and web solutions to companies throughout the UK, was faced with this exact dilemma when the pandemic hit.

The Problem

With all their employees working from home, Unsworth Sugden’s receptionist was unable to distribute client calls to the appropriate employee. Moreover, their existing provider couldn’t offer a simple solution to diverting calls if the receptionist was away.

With limited time, Unsworth Sugden very quickly had to figure out a way to distribute calls to the appropriate employees when they were working from home and no longer had access their business phones. That is when they contacted us.

Solution

As the complete business phone system made mobile, we were able to quickly and efficiently solve Unsworth Sugden’s dilemma by providing each of their employees with their own direct business line on their personal mobile phones.

This allowed the receptionist to transfer client calls to the appropriate employee even when they weren’t in the office. It also allowed the receptionist to answer the company’s main line from both the office and when working from home.
