Make The Most Of PiPcall

Here are three simple tips to help you make the most of PiPcall.

1. Use your existing number

If your business already has established mobile numbers you can set up call forwarding. This means anyone calling your existing business mobile phone number will be diverted to your PiPcall app. This is the ideal way to use the service without porting your number. We would be delighted to port your numbers anytime. Simply email support@pipcall.com to start the process.

Forward calls from an Apple work device to PiPcall:

  • If you haven’t already, download PiPcall to your personal smartphone, here 
  • Identify your PiPcall number
  • On your Apple work mobile go to the ‘Settings’ screen, tap Phone, then tap Call Forwarding

  • Turn on Call Forwarding
  • Enter your PiPcall number

  • Tap the Call Forwarding button to return to the main Call Forwarding screen
  • All outbound calls made from the PiPcall app will display the PiPcall number

Forward calls from an Android work device to PiPcall:

  • If you haven’t already, download PiPcall to your personal smartphone, here
  • Press the Phone icon
  • Go into ‘Settings’

  • Tap Call forwarding
  • Tap Always forward
  • Type your PiPcall number and tap Turn on

  • All calls made to the Android work device will be forwarded to the PiPcall app on your personal smartphone
  • All outbound calls made from the PiPcall app will display the PiPcall number

2. Change your PiPcall ringtone

You can set a ringtone specifically for calls to your PiPcall number. This makes it easy to distinguish personal calls from business calls. Here’s how:

Apple:

  • Go to your devices native ‘Contacts’ directory
  • Type ‘PiP Call In’ in your search box
  • Tap PiP Call In

  • Tap Set ringtone

  • Choose your ringtone

Android:

  • Go to your devices native ‘Contacts’ directory
  • Type in PiP Call In
  • Tap on PiP Call In

3. Creating and managing your business contacts

PiPcall comes with a separate ‘Contacts’ directory to manage your business contacts. This ensures your business and personal activity don’t mix. Once you have contacts in the business directory you can add them to ‘Favourites’ for quick access. All inbound calls to your PiPcall number appear in a dedicated ‘Recents’ section of the app, keeping your personal and business call records separated. It’s easy to add contacts to your PiPcall business directory. Here’s how: 

Create a contact:

Apple

  • Allow PiPcall access to your existing contacts. Your existing contacts will appear in the app’s “Personal” directory.
  • In the ‘Business’ directory tap the + icon. Enter the contacts details and tap DONE.

  • View your new contact in the ‘Business’ directory

Android

  • Allow PiPcall access to contacts. This makes it easy for you to transfer contacts into your business directory
  • In the ‘Business’ directory tap +CREATE NEW CONTACT. Enter the contacts details and tap the TICK icon
